Aan mij de eer om jullie voor het laatst iets te vertellen over The Hyderabad Experience. Aan het eind van de middag zijn we nog even de stad in geweest om de laatste rupees op te maken. Zelf had ik niet al te veel rupees meer, dus ik heb niet veel meer gekocht. Daniël had toch besloten om nog een witte Dockers broek te kopen bij de Levi’s Store. Ik heb de broek zelf ook, dus nu kunnen we van de zomer samen de PIMP uit gaan hangen op het strand van Scheveningen.
In het begin van de avond begonnen de zenuwen op te spelen. We voelden allebei een raar gevoel in onze maag. Het is tenslotte ook een lange vlucht. Later op de avond zijn we naar B&C gegaan om daar nog wat te drinken. Persoonlijk voelde ik er niet zoveel voor om nog aan de bier te gaan vlak voor vertrek. Daniël had er nog wel een paar genomen om een beetje tot rust te komen. Uiteindelijk bleek hij in plaats van rustig lekker los te komen. Als de muziek in het vliegtuig niet zo depressief was geweest had hij het feesten gewoon voort kunnen zetten.
Op het vliegveld van Hyderabad stonden echt enorm veel mensen. Echt ongelooflijk hoe druk het kan zijn op een relatief klein vliegveld. Na het inchecken, vertrekformulieren invullen en stempels halen konden we eindelijk in de wachtruimte plaats gaan nemen. De tijd ging gelukkig redelijk snel. In het vliegtuig begonnen we ons beide te ergeren aan de Indiërs. Deze mensen weten volgens mij niet echt wat er bedoeld wordt met HANDBAGAGE. Ze slepen gewoon hele koffers mee het vliegtuig in, terwijl er al zoveel mensen in zitten. Het is maar goed dat ik niet claustrofobisch ben aangelegd, want anders had ik het vliegtuig echt verlaten.
Op het vliegveld van Mumbai zouden we lang moeten wachten. Uiteindelijk bleek ook hier de tijd redelijk snel te gaan. In tegenstelling tot de heenreis was dit keer het vliegtuig wel aardig vol. Er was nu geen ruimte om languit te liggen. Ik kon er eigenlijk niet echt mee zitten, want ik had de nacht ervoor ook al geen minuut geslapen. Ik pieker en denk veel te veel tijdens het slapen (wakker liggen). Voor het vliegtuig nog opgestegen was lag ik al lekker half te dromen. Van de ongeveer 8 uur durende vlucht heb ik ongeveer 6 uur gelegen gok ik. Daniël kon de slaap helaas niet vatten, maar kon genieten van een mooie Hindi film.
Op Frankfürt begon het “Nederland gevoel” al een beetje te komen. We moesten weer op onze woorden letten, aangezien er veel Nederlanders om ons heen stonden. In India konden we ons nog wel eens negatief uitlaten over iemand in het Nederlands, heerlijk. Op de laatste vlucht werd ons een AD aangeboden, dus dit laatste uurtje zijn we lezend doorgekomen. Omdat de laatste vlucht geen toeristische was kwam onze bagage al erg snel van de band afgerold. Ik heb nog nooit zo snel mijn koffer mee kunnen nemen.
Op Schiphol werd het tijd om voor het eerst na 6,5 week afscheid te nemen van Daniël. Ik vind het echt knap hoe we samen deze 6,5 week hebben volbracht. Het is niet gemakkelijk om zo een lange tijd boven op elkaars lip te zitten. We hebben beide laten zien dat we in staat zijn om de grote zeeën te bevaren en de hoogste bergen te beklimmen. Daarom wil allereerst Daniël bedanken voor deze mooie tijd. Daarnaast wil ik Michel bedanken voor het bijhouden van ons fotoalbum. Tenslotte hoop ik dat onze verhalen leuk waren om te lezen en dat iedereen zich een beetje in onze situatie heeft kunnen inleven. Iedereen bedankt voor het lezen en hopelijk tot een volgende keer.
